These crispy baguette slices can be served as an appetizer with dip or in place of bread with soup. To prepare, simply brush the baguette slices with butter, sprinkle with chopped fresh herbs, and toast in the oven until crispy.


Ingredients:

  • Baguette
  • 3 tbsp chives
  • 1 tbsp thyme
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Slice the baguette diagonally into 8 long slices. Butter both sides, season with salt and pepper, and place on a baking sheet. Toss 3 tablespoons chopped chives with 1 tablespoon chopped fresh thyme (or 1 teaspoon dried thyme); sprinkle the bread with herbs. Bake at 200°C (400°F) until crisp, 15 minutes.
