Mint iced tea - detailed recipe.


Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 bunch of fresh mint
  • 3 bags of black tea
  • Lemon slices, mint leaves, for garnish (optional)
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Pour 1 cup of water into a saucepan, add sugar and mint sprigs. Bring to a boil and simmer, stirring occasionally, over low heat for 5 minutes. Remove the saucepan from the stove, cover, and let the syrup steep for 30 minutes. Then remove the mint and cool completely.
  • Step 2
  • Pour 1.8 liters of water into another saucepan and add the tea bags. Place the saucepan on the stove and bring to a boil. Remove the saucepan from the stove, cover with a lid, and let the tea steep for 20 minutes. Then remove the tea bags. Pour the tea into a large pitcher and add mint syrup to taste. Let it cool.
  • Step 3
  • Serve mint tea with ice, lemon slices and mint leaves.
