A light, vitamin-rich kale salad, also known as curly kale, with green onions, fresh pear, and toasted pecans, all dressed with a balsamic vinegar dressing. Blue cheese adds a zesty touch.

Ingredients:

  • 1 small bunch kale, stems removed, chopped or torn into small pieces
  • 1/4 cup pecans, toasted and chopped
  • 1 green onion, chopped
  • 1 pear, peeled and sliced
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 3 tbsp. l. olive oil
  • Crumbled blue cheese for garnish
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

    Step 1
  • In a medium bowl, combine the kale, pecans, green onions, and pear. Season with salt and pepper. Drizzle with balsamic vinegar, then oil. Toss and serve, topped with grated cheese.
