Scotch Negroni Cocktail

How to Make a Scotch Negroni
Time: 5 min.
Complexity: easily
Quantity: 1 cocktail

This Scotch-based cocktail is radically different from the classic Negroni, yet still reminiscent of it with its citrusy and spicy notes. Scotch whisky, Aperol, and Amontillado sherry are mixed in equal parts, and the drink is served over ice with a lemon wedge.

Ingredients:

  • 30 ml of scotch tape
  • 30 ml. Aperol
  • 30 ml Amontillado sherry
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

We recommend

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Combine 30ml each of Scotch, Aperol, and Amontillado sherry in a shaker with ice and shake until completely chilled, about 30 seconds.
  • Step 2
  • Strain into a whiskey glass with a large ice cube. Garnish with a lemon wedge.

    Recommendations

To make a cocktail properly, shake or stir it with ice for 20-30 seconds—it's longer than you think! This will dilute the drink just the right amount and chill it thoroughly.
