Marinated Old Bay Shrimp on a Grill Pan

How to Make Marinated Old Bay Shrimp on a Grill Pan
Time: 40 min.
Complexity: easily
Servings: 4

These shrimp are marinated for just 30 minutes in a flavorful blend of lemon juice, garlic, and Old Bay seafood seasoning. They're incredibly delicious, but resist the temptation to marinate them longer, as the lemon juice will "cook" the shrimp, making them tough. Grill the shrimp and serve with boiled or baked potatoes, drizzled with hot sauce and lemon juice.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Squeeze the juice of half a lemon into a medium glass bowl. Finely grate the garlic and add it to the bowl along with the Old Bay seasoning, olive oil, and shrimp. Stir to coat completely.
  • Step 2
  • Marinate in the refrigerator for 30 minutes. Meanwhile, slice the remaining lemon half into wedges and set aside for serving.
  • Step 3
  • Heat a large grill pan over medium-high heat. Remove the shrimp from the marinade and place them on a baking sheet lined with paper towels. Cook the shrimp in batches until lightly browned on both sides and cooked through, about 3 minutes total. Remove from the heat and transfer to a large plate.
  • Step 4
  • Serve the shrimp with lemon wedges and hot sauce.
