How to roast peanuts properly

How to Cook - How to Properly Roast Peanuts
Time: --
Complexity: easily

Roasting peanuts is very easy. All you need is nuts and vegetable oil. You can roast them in their shells, or you can try removing the shells before roasting.

The most important thing when roasting peanuts is to choose high-quality nuts. While you can use pre-boiled or baked peanuts, the most delicious ones are those roasted raw. You can grow your own peanuts if you live in the southern regions, or buy them at a store or market. Homegrown nuts are considered to have superior flavor.

Using a good vegetable oil will make peanuts even more delicious. Sunflower, soybean, or canola oils can be used for roasting. These oils don't affect the flavor of the peanuts but enhance their aroma. Peanut oil can also be used. This will give the nuts the most flavor and aroma. Flavored vegetable oils, such as garlic or pepper, can also be used if desired.

So, let's start roasting the peanuts. To do this, take a frying pan and fill it with vegetable oil to a depth of about 2.5 cm. If you have a deep fryer, you can use that instead. Heat the oil to 150°C (300°F) and add the peanuts. How do you know when the pan is hot enough? Place one peanut in it. If it sizzles, the oil is hot enough, and you can add the rest of the nuts.

While frying, be careful not to burn the nuts. Stir them regularly to prevent this. The entire roasting process takes only 5-10 minutes, so it's important not to stray far from the stove. When the nuts turn golden brown, they're ready.

Place the peanuts on a paper towel to remove excess oil. For a more flavorful flavor, sprinkle them with salt or spices.
