Steak and mushroom pie

Cubes of beef steak are fried in butter with mushrooms, then topped with brown gravy and placed in a deep pot pie crust. Warm the pot pie in the oven and serve with mashed potatoes and vegetables.


Ingredients:

  • 450 g unsalted butter
  • 170 g top sirloin steak, cut into bite-size cubes
  • 1 cup thinly sliced ​​champignons
  • 0.5 cup brown gravy
  • 1 ready-made pot pie crust, bottom and top
  • Mashed potatoes and vegetables, for serving
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

  • Preheat oven to 175°C.

  • Melt the butter in a seasoned skillet. Fry the steak cubes until crispy.
  • Step 3
  • Add the mushrooms, season with salt and pepper; cook until golden brown. Add the brown sauce to the pan and stir thoroughly. Transfer to a pot pie crust and top with the top crust.

  • Bake until heated through, about 15 minutes. Serve with mashed potatoes and vegetables.
