Steak and cheese sandwiches

How to Make - Steak and Cheese Sandwiches
Time: 20 min.
Complexity: easily
Servings: 4

Make delicious, filling sandwiches with juicy beef steak and gooey grilled cheese. A mustard, rosemary, and soy sauce sauce drizzled over the steak adds a stunning flavor. You can grill them on an outdoor grill or in a grill pan, but the former adds a smoky flavor.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Preheat an outdoor grill or grill pan over medium heat. Preheat the oven to broil mode. Season the steak with salt and pepper. Grill the meat until medium-rare, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  • Step 2
  • In a large bowl, combine Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, mustard, rosemary, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.
  • Step 3
  • Remove the steak from the grill to a cutting board, cover with foil, and let it rest for 5 minutes. Slice the steak thinly and toss with the sauce.
  • Step 4
  • Uncover the buns and place them on a baking sheet. Sprinkle each with 1/4 cup of cheese and place in the oven. Grill until the cheese is melted and bubbly, about 1-2 minutes.
  • Step 5
  • In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise and hot sauce. Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun. Top with a quarter of the beef (reserve 4 pieces of steak for the Stuffed Tomatoes with Couscous recipe). Top with the top halves of the buns, cut in half, and serve.
