Ingredients:

  • 1/4 head of red onion, cut into half rings
  • 4 tbsp. l. olive oil
  • 1/4 cup and 1 tbsp chopped dill
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper
  • 2 pcs. pitas or lavash
  • 2 cups cherry tomatoes
  • 6 cups baby spinach
  • 1/4 cucumber, cut into slices
  • 1/4 cup olives
  • Juice of 1 lemon
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Soak red onion in cold water for 10 minutes.
  • Step 2
  • In a bowl, combine 2 tablespoons of olive oil, 1 tablespoon of chopped dill, salt, and pepper. Rub the bread with some of the seasoned oil, then toss the remaining oil with the cherry tomatoes. Grill the bread in a preheated pan until grill marks appear, then tear the bread into pieces. Then grill the cherry tomatoes in the same pan.
  • Step 3
  • In a large salad bowl, combine the bread, tomatoes, spinach, cucumbers, olives, and red onion. Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil, lemon juice, and the remaining dill. Season the salad with salt and pepper.
