American Spinach and Artichoke Dip

How to Make - American Spinach and Artichoke Dip
Time: 25 min.
Complexity: easily
Servings: 4-6

Spinach and artichoke cheesy dip is one of the most popular dips in the United States. It's served in diners and restaurants, sold in stores, and made at home. It's a frequent guest at many house parties, where appetizers are loved for dipping into thick sauces. Make your own spinach and artichoke dip at home, which is almost identical to that delicious American dip. First, simmer the Parmesan cheese sauce in a saucepan, and then add the artichokes, spinach, and grated cheddar at the very end. The dip is rich and creamy. Scoop it up with tortilla chips or crackers and enjoy.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Bring a large saucepan of salted water to a boil. Stir in the spinach and cook for about 30 seconds, until bright green. Drain and rinse the spinach under cold water, squeeze out excess water, and finely chop.
  • Step 2
  • In a large saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Add the onion, garlic, and 1/2 teaspoon salt and cook until the onion is soft, about 2 minutes. Add the flour and cook, stirring, for about 1 minute. Stir in the milk and cook, stirring constantly, until thickened, about 1 minute. Remove from the heat. Stir in the lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, Parmesan, and sour cream.
  • Step 3
  • Return the pan to medium heat. Add the spinach, cheddar, and artichokes, stirring until the cheese melts and warms through. Serve warm with tortilla chips, salsa, and sour cream.
