How to Make Mint Marshmallow Ice Cream
Time: 4 hours 20 minutes
Complexity: easily
Servings: 12 - 14

The undeniable advantage of this dessert is that you don't need any special equipment like an ice cream maker to make it. It's simple and incredibly delicious. All you need to do is whip heavy cream, fold in condensed milk, and add the fillings. Incidentally, you can use nuts or fruit as fillings. This recipe also includes mint candies, which impart a fresh flavor. Marshmallows also play a key role, giving the dessert a special gooey texture.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Place the metal mold in the freezer. Place the chocolate-mint candies and 3/4 cup heavy cream in a medium saucepan over medium heat and cook, stirring frequently, until the candies are melted (about 5 minutes). Cool completely.
  • Step 2
  • Meanwhile, beat 2 cups of the remaining heavy cream in a large bowl with an electric mixer on medium-high speed until stiff peaks form, about 2 minutes. Pour the condensed milk into a medium bowl and fold in 1 cup of the whipped cream with a rubber spatula until combined. Then fold the resulting light mixture back into the whipped cream until fully combined. Gently fold in the marshmallows.
  • Step 3
  • Take 2 tablespoons of melted chocolate chips. Pour a third of the ice cream mixture into the cooled mold. Then top with half of the remaining melted chocolate sauce. Repeat with another third of the ice cream mixture. Pour the remaining chocolate sauce over the top. Top with the last portion of the mixture and sprinkle with crushed soft mints.
  • Step 4
  • Drizzle the chocolate sauce over the top. Cover loosely with plastic wrap and freeze for about 3 hours or overnight. The mixture should be firm enough to form into balls with a spoon. Serve in a bowl, garnished with crushed candies, if desired.
