This cocktail is made with homemade cranberry syrup and freshly squeezed lime juice. It's tart, just the right amount of sweet, and incredibly refreshing. Made without alcohol, it's a perfect addition to any family gathering, served in a large pitcher with fruit.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries + extra for serving
  • 1 and 1/4 cups sugar
  • 3/4 cup frozen lime lemonade concentrate
  • 0.5 cup freshly squeezed lime juice + lime wedges for serving
  • Seltzer water, for serving
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Combine the cranberries, sugar, and 1 cup of water in a medium saucepan and heat over high heat. Bring to a boil and reduce the heat. Gently mash the cranberries with a potato masher and simmer the mixture until slightly reduced and dark red, about 10 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes.
  • Step 2
  • Strain the mixture through a sieve into a heat-resistant container, pressing down on the cranberries to extract all the juice. Let cool for 30 minutes.
  • Step 3
  • Combine cranberry syrup in a pitcher with lime juice and lemonade concentrate.
  • Step 4
  • Mix equal parts cocktail base and seltzer water. Serve with ice, cranberries, and a lime wedge.
