Simple sugar syrup for tea

How to Make - Simple Sugar Syrup for Tea
Time: 1 hour 5 minutes
Complexity: easily
Servings: 4

Some drinks, such as iced tea or cocktails, are difficult to sweeten with granulated sugar because it takes a long time to dissolve in cold liquid. For this situation, keep simple syrup on hand. It's made from equal parts water and sugar and can be stored in the refrigerator for up to a week. Once you've mastered this recipe, you can experiment with the syrup's flavor by adding various natural flavors during the heating stage, such as fresh mint or ginger. Afterward, be sure to strain the finished syrup. Simple syrup can be used to sweeten iced tea, alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails, fruit salad, and even as a sponge cake drizzle.
