Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 and 1/4 cups of water
  • 1 cup fresh orange juice
  • 1 tbsp (15 g) unsalted butter
  • 1 (230g) package long grain white and wild rice mix (recommended: Uncle Ben's)
  • Zest of one orange
  • 1/2 cup sliced ​​almonds
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

    Step 1
  • Place the cranberries in a medium bowl and pour in enough hot water to cover them. Let them soak while you make the rice.
  • Step 2
  • In a medium saucepan, combine 1 1/4 cups of water, orange juice, and butter and bring to a boil. Add the rice and seasoning packet and return to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer until the rice is tender, about 20-25 minutes.
  • Step 3
  • Drain the cranberries and add them to the rice along with the orange zest and almonds. Gently stir to loosen the rice. Transfer the rice to a serving bowl, cover, and keep warm until serving.
