Winter sangria with cranberries - a detailed recipe.


Ingredients:

  • 2 liters of chilled sweet sparkling red wine (preferably Rosa Regale)
  • 2 cups of orange juice without pulp
  • 90 - 180 ml orange liqueur
  • 2 tablespoons of honey
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 blood oranges or clementines (pulp only, no peel or membranes)
  • 2 cups fresh cranberries
  • 1 Anjou pear (red), peeled, cored and cut into 0.5 cm cubes
  • 1 liter of chilled lemon-lime sparkling water
  • 1 Granny Smith apple (or other tart apple), peeled, cored and diced into 1/4-inch cubes
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

    Step 1
  • In a large pitcher or punch bowl, combine orange juice, orange liqueur, and honey. Add the cinnamon stick, blood orange, cranberry, apple, and pear. Stir.
  • Step 2
  • Let sit at room temperature for at least an hour before serving. Add wine and sparkling water, stir gently, and serve immediately over ice.
