Steep ginger in apple cider for a few minutes to add a touch of spice, and you'll have a wonderfully delicious apple drink. Rachael Ray also adds cranberries for color.


Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of natural cranberry juice
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1 liter of non-alcoholic apple cider
  • 1 piece peeled ginger root (2.5 cm)
  • A long curl of orange peel
  • 2 clove buds
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • In a medium saucepan, combine the juice, cranberries, ginger, orange zest (stick in the cloves), cinnamon, and apple cider. Place over low heat. Bring to a gentle simmer and let the mixture steep for 15 minutes.

    Discard the orange zest and cloves, pour the drink into mugs and serve.
