Cranberry salad dressing - a detailed recipe.


Ingredients:

  • 350 g fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 3 tbsp. sugar
  • 1.5 cups of water
  • 2 vanilla pods, split lengthwise
  • 1 orange, zest and juice
  • A pinch of salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons Dijon mustard
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Start with simple syrupDissolve the sugar in water in a medium saucepan. Add the vanilla bean and bring to a boil. Add the orange juice and cranberries, a pinch of salt, and some ground black pepper. Cook over low heat until the cranberries begin to burst and become soft, about 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Step 2
  • Remove from heat and stir in Dijon mustard. Chill the cranberry sauce until serving. The sauce can be made up to 2 days in advance. Before serving, garnish the sauce with freshly grated orange zest.
    Exit: 7.5 tbsp.
