A step-by-step recipe for making condensed milk with sugar at home.


Ingredients:

  • 6 cups skim milk
  • 5 tablespoons of sugar
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Pour the milk into a heavy saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to a simmer and cook for about 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the sugar, stir, and continue to simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the milk has reduced to 3 cups. Strain through a sieve. The condensed milk can be stored in the refrigerator for up to one week.
