Dalgona coffee
Complexity: easily

If your Instagram feed has been filled with photos of whipped coffee this year, you're not alone. Dalgona coffee, made with instant coffee, sugar, and water, has become one of the most popular coffee trends of 2020. The trend was sparked back in January by South Korean actor Jung Il-woo, who tried the coffee on a cooking show. He was amazed by its taste and the fact that the drink needs to be whipped 400 times to achieve the right consistency. He compared the coffee's color to the Korean dessert dalgona, thus cementing its name. Then, in March, a video on how to make Dalgona coffee appeared on TikTok, garnering millions of views. Many have since copied the recipe and shared photos of their masterpieces. Don't be left out!
