A chilled frappé is the perfect summer coffee. Smooth and creamy, this recipe adds a hint of caramel. Unlike traditional frappés, which are made with instant coffee, this version is made with strong espresso. Top your frappé with whipped cream, drizzle with caramel sauce, and enjoy!

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups of small ice cubes
  • 1 cup cooled strong espresso
  • 0.5 cups of milk
  • 3 tbsp. ultrafine sugar
  • 1/4 tsp natural vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream and caramel sauce, for serving
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

    Step 1
  • Combine ice, espresso, milk, sugar, and vanilla in a blender. Blend until smooth and thick.
