This delicious and healthy dessert has everything you need for a popular peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Everything, minus the extra calories! Bake apple halves, stuff them with peanut butter and jelly, then drizzle with a thinned-out jam. White bread toast is used as a garnish. Crumble it and sprinkle a little on the apples for crunch.

Ingredients:


Filling
  • 2 Honeycrisp apples
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup Greek yogurt
  • 1/4 cup chopped roasted peanuts
  • 2 tbsp. l. agave nectar

Topping
  • 1/4 cup grape jam
  • 1 slice of white bread, toasted and finely chopped
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 175°C. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Step 2
  • Apples and filling:

    Cut the apples in half crosswise. Remove the core, leaving a hollow in the center. If necessary, smooth the bottoms of the apples to ensure the halves stand upright.
  • Step 3
  • In a large bowl, combine peanut butter, yogurt, peanuts and agave syrup.
  • Step 4
  • Evenly fill the apple halves with the filling and place them on the prepared baking sheet. Bake until the filling is set and the apples are slightly soft, 20-25 minutes.
  • Step 5
  • Topping:

    Place the jam in a small bowl, then add hot water, a few drops at a time, stirring constantly until it reaches a syrupy consistency. Sprinkle the apples with the crushed toast, drizzle with syrup, and season lightly with salt.
