We recommend

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 180°C. Place rolled oats, flour, sugar, cinnamon, and bacon in a food processor and pulse until the bacon is finely chopped and the ingredients are well combined. Add the butter and pulse until combined.
  • Step 2
  • Spoon the filling into the apples and place in a small baking dish. Add about 1 cm of water to the dish, then bake for about 45 minutes, until the apples are soft and the filling is golden brown (cover with foil if the top starts to cook too quickly).
  • Step 3
  • Combine the cream and maple syrup. Serve the apples with the maple cream and garnish with mint, if desired.
