  • 4 large McIntosh or Empire apples, cored
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup quick-cooking oatmeal or rolled oats
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg, coarsely grated
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 4 tbsp butter, cut into pieces
  • 55 g chopped golden raisins
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
  • 2 cups caramel ice cream
  • Whipped cream in a can
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

    Step 1
  • Preheat oven to 220°C. Sprinkle apples with lemon juice.
  • Step 2
  • Mix the remaining ingredients and fill the apples with them. Bake for 20 minutes in a small baking dish.
