Pancakes with maple syrup and berry sauce - a detailed recipe.


Ingredients:

  • 450 g frozen berry mix
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup of milk
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1.5 cups of wheat flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 tbsp (30 g) butter
  • 1/3 tbsp. natural maple syrup
  • Powdered sugar for sprinkling
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Combine the eggs, milk, sugar, salt, and vanilla extract. In a separate bowl, combine the flour and baking powder. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and whisk until smooth. Let sit for at least 10 minutes.
  • Step 2
  • Preheat oven to 205°C. Heat a 20-25 cm diameter cast iron skillet with butter in the oven.

    Pour the batter into the cast iron skillet and cook the pancake until golden brown, puffed and set in the center, about 15 minutes.

    To prepare berry syrup: In a small saucepan, heat the berries with maple syrup until the mixture thickens but the berries are still visible. Serve warm with pancake slices, dusted with powdered sugar.
