What couple wouldn't love a romantic evening, and of course, strawberries are a must-have. Try a twist on the classic chocolate-covered strawberries by pairing them with jelly. These jelly shots are sure to spark your rendezvous. These bite-sized treats are both seductive and elegant.


Ingredients:

  • 40 large strawberries
  • 1/2 cup cold ginger ale
  • 3/4 cup chilled champagne
  • 1 packet (7 g) of odorless gelatin
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • A sprig of mint, for decoration
  • Special equipmentmelon baller
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Place the ginger ale in a saucepan, sprinkle the gelatin evenly over it, and let it bloom for 2 minutes. Bring the ginger ale to the first signs of a boil, then immediately remove from the heat. Whisk until the gelatin is completely dissolved. Stir in the sugar until it's completely dissolved.
  • Step 2
  • Pour the champagne into a large bowl and add the gelatin. Chill until the mixture begins to thicken, about 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Step 3
  • Meanwhile, prepare the strawberries. Cut off the tops and scoop out the pulp. Secure the berries in a suitable metal mold. Now fill the strawberries with gelatin and refrigerate until completely set, at least 1 hour.
  • Step 4
  • Garnish with mint leaves to resemble a stem and serve.
