This adult drink from Tyler Florence is made with thick peach puree, fresh ginger pieces, and a whole bottle of champagne.


Ingredients:


For the ginger sugar syrup:
  • 1/4 cup fresh ginger, sliced ​​and peeled
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 cups of cold water

For the peach puree:
  • 300 g of semi-defrosted peaches
  • 1/2 cup ginger sugar syrup

To serve:
  • Ice cubes
  • 1 bottle of champagne
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Start by making the ginger syrup. Peel and grate the ginger. Add it to a saucepan with the sugar and cold water. Bring to a boil and stir until the sugar dissolves. Cover and let steep for 15 minutes. Strain and discard the ginger pieces.
  • Step 2
  • Place frozen peaches in a blender and pour in the prepared ginger syrup. Blend until smooth, then refrigerate for an hour.
  • Step 3
  • Place ice cubes in a cocktail shaker and fill halfway with peach puree. Top with champagne and shake vigorously to combine. Pour into champagne flutes and repeat the process if necessary.
