Thai Chicken Wrap with Spicy Peanut Sauce - A Detailed Recipe.


Ingredients:


Filling
  • 3 chicken breasts (170 g)
  • 4 tortillas from wheat flour (30 cm.)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp grill seasoning

Salad
  • 1/2 seedless cucumber, peeled, halved lengthwise and thinly sliced ​​at an angle
  • 2 cups fresh bean sprouts
  • 1 tbsp. coarsely grated carrots
  • 3 green onions, sliced ​​at an angle
  • 12 basil leaves, chopped or torn
  • 3 tbsp chopped mint leaves (4 sprigs)
  • 1 tbsp. sesame seeds
  • 2 teaspoons of sugar
  • 2 tbsp. l. rice wine vinegar
  • Salt

Hot peanut sauce
  • 1/4 cup peanut butter with pieces at room temperature (if it was stored in the refrigerator, soften it in the microwave)
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice wine vinegar or table vinegar
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Heat a grill pan over high heat. Toss the chicken with the soy sauce and oil and grill for 6 minutes per side.

    Mix cucumber, bean sprouts, carrots, green onions, basil, mint and sesame seeds with enough sugar and vinegar.
  • Step 2
  • Whisk together peanut butter, soy sauce, vinegar, and cayenne pepper. Add vegetable oil.

    Slice the cooked chicken at an angle. Toss with vegetables and herbs.

    In a very hot non-stick frying pan or on a gas stove, fry the tortillas for 15 seconds on each side.

    Place the chicken and vegetables on the flatbreads and generously drizzle with the spicy peanut sauce. Roll up and enjoy.
