Oven-baked pate


How to cook - Oven-baked pate

Recipe for making meat pate with carrots, baked in the oven.


Ingredients:


Pate
  • 500 g of ground beef or veal
  • 200 g of boiled carrot puree
  • 100 g sour cream or cream
  • 1 egg
  • 100 gr. breadcrumbs
  • 1 red bell pepper
  • 1 tbsp dried green onions
  • 1 tsp turmeric (for color)
  • Seasonings to taste
  • Ground black pepper, salt

Design
  • 300 gr. hard cheese
  • 1 handful of pumpkin seeds (about 30 g)
  • 1 tbsp mayonnaise

Innings
  • Mashed potatoes or any vegetable side dish
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Mix the minced meat with carrot puree, sour cream, egg, breadcrumbs, dried onion, turmeric, spices, ground pepper, and salt. Mix everything well and let it sit for 10 minutes.
  • Step 2
  • Cut the sweet pepper, remove the seeds, into strips.
  • Step 3
  • Place some of the minced meat in a baking dish, compact it, top with the chopped bell pepper, and then the remaining minced meat. Cover the dish with foil or a lid and bake in an oven preheated to 200°C for 1 hour. I recommend placing a wide bowl of water on the bottom of the oven.
  • Step 4
  • Crush the pumpkin seeds. Grate the cheese on a medium grater and pour it into a wide frying pan. Smooth it out, and place the pan over medium heat until the cheese melts into a smooth pancake.
  • Step 5
  • Remove the finished roll from the pan and cover it with a hot cheese pancake. Press the pancake firmly onto the roll, trimming off any excess cheese. Coat the roll with mayonnaise and sprinkle with crushed seeds. Serve with potato mashed potatoes or any vegetable side dish.
