Ingredients:

  • 170 g of chicken, pork, shrimp, or tofu (optional)
  • A handful of cooked flat wide rice noodles
  • 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon crushed garlic
  • 2 chopped Thai chili peppers
  • 1/2 cup chopped white onion
  • 1 tbsp dark soy sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper
  • 1 large chopped tomato
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh basil
Substituting ingredients
1 glass (st.) - 250 ml.
3/4 cup (st.) - 180 ml.
2/3 cup (st.) - 160 ml.
1/2 cup (st.) - 125 ml.
1/3 cup (st.) - 80 ml.
1/4 cup (st.) - 60 ml.
1 tablespoon (tbsp) - 15 ml.
1 teaspoon (tsp) - 5 ml.
1/5 teaspoon (tsp) - 1 ml.

Preparation:

    Step 1
  • Heat a medium wok over high heat. Add oil, garlic, and chili pepper.

    Add one of the proteins (meat, shrimp, or tofu) and fry until golden brown. Add the onion, noodles, dark soy sauce, fish sauce, and sugar. Cook for about 2 minutes. Add the bell pepper, tomato, and basil and cook for another minute.
