How to Make Sangria: Preparation Options



Choose wine


Pour 1 750ml bottle into a large pitcher or punch bowl.

  • Dry white wine
  • Dry red wine
  • Dry rose wine

Add liqueur or spirits


Stir in 2 tablespoons ultrafine or light brown sugar, then add 1/3 cup of one of these:

  • Orange liqueur (such as Grand Marnier)
  • Berry liqueur (eg Chambord)
  • Brandy
  • Light rum
  • Elderflower liqueur (such as St. Germain)
  • Ginger liqueur (such as Domaine de Canton)

Select fruits


Add up to 2.5 cups of sliced ​​or diced fruit (use at least 1/2 cup of citrus). Refrigerate for 3 hours to 1 day.

Top up the drink

  • Sparkling apple cider
  • Grape juice, white or purple
